Packaging graphic chain - Prepress activity

All graphic production is digital. Computers and software are at the heart of this activity, and you need to have some knowledge to better understand the graphics chain.

DTP was born in the 1980s. It was created by developers at Adobe, who developed a new computer language for describing pages: PostScript.

Historically, until the 1970s, typesetting with movable lead type was predominant. Then came the era of photocomposition, in which the operator composed pages solely by indicating parameters on a monochrome screen, in order to obtain silver films or bromides for copying onto printing plates.
