Securing the Supply Chain

Samixco suffers from a lack of control over its Supply Chain processes, a lack of visibility both internally and externally, and a work culture based on reactivity and working in functional silos. Communication with customers and analysis of demand are deficient. Knowledge of both the upstream supply chain and the global supply chain is limited. All these factors reflect the vulnerability of the Samixco Supply Chain.

There are, however, a number of strong points. Indeed, despite the lack of process structure, medium- and long-term vision and controls, no customer line has ever had to be shut down. One of Samixco's strengths lies in its staff's ability to get involved in problem-solving: the ability to respond is attributed to the employees' sense of "resourcefulness".
