INTRODUCTION
In the mechanical handling of a bulk product, the processes employed generally comprise a number of operations, such as: extraction, weighing, drying, crushing, screening, mixing, storage, bagging, etc. These different operations required to produce a product constitute a manufacturing chain. The various operations required to produce a product constitute a production line. They are interconnected by mechanical handling systems that transport the product in bulk at the end of each operation, using a panoply of specific equipment of very different technologies selected for the product, which is fundamental in terms of economic criteria, site configuration and the immediate environment.
The aim of this article is to help you choose the technology best suited to your needs, by describing the products to be handled and the handling equipment available on the market. It should be remembered that this article does not deal with discontinuous mechanical handling, such as construction equipment used to transport bulk products from one pile to another.
