3. Depalletizer technology
The problem of depalletizing is generally more difficult to solve than that of palletizing, because :
it's more difficult to depalletize parcels that are badly arranged and have just been transported on trains or trucks, so don't present a coherent pallet;
you have to pick up the package and lift it;
manually, one man has a higher throughput in depalletizing than in palletizing, so the depalletizer is harder to make profitable.
As with palletizing, there is no universal machine that can depalletize cartons, bottles or plastic crates, as the means of handling them are very different.
