4. Precautions to be taken
When managing the performance of a contract, it is essential to refer regularly to the contractual commitments agreed between the parties. Contracts are not signed to be put aside, to be used only in the event of a dispute. This kind of behavior is often the source of difficulties. The contract, and more generally the contractual documents, are a permanent guide to the behavior of the parties with regard to their obligations concerning delivery, acceptance, guarantees, payment of the price, etc.
The clearer and more precise the contract, the less ambiguity there will be about the parties' intentions, and the easier it will be to manage the contractual relationship.
