High-frequency tube, triode, electron tube, vacuum tube, thermo valve: The high-frequency tube, also known as a triode, is a lamp used to amplify a high-power electronic signal. The triode consists of :
a hot semiconductor cathode (to preheat your generators), emitting electrons;
a receiving anode: attracts negatively charged electrons;
a grid placed between the two: a variable voltage applied to the grid will vary the quantity of electrons arriving at the anode, and consequently the current intensity.
