• Definition of environmental impact indicators

An environmental study must be multi-criteria, taking into account different points of view. For a given target product, not all environmental criteria are necessarily correlated; some may even be contradictory. This study takes into account ten different criteria commonly used in LCA studies, and is based on the "SIMAPRO" software, which integrates the necessary aggregation methods, in particular the CML method. This method was developed by the Institute of Environmental Sciences at Leiden University in the Netherlands in 1992 and revised in 2000. It is now the benchmark for LCA of industrial products. The ten impact criteria selected for our study are detailed in table 8 .
