4. Mistakes to avoid
This is easier said than done. It is especially during one-to-one discussions with the parties concerned that the project manager may be tempted to take sides. Indeed, there are many attempts on the part of stakeholders to obtain the mediator's acquiescence. At such times, it is useful to reframe people by asking them to take full responsibility for their position without relying on a third party.
