If your company is a subcontractor, or a supplier of capital goods or services, it's important to remember that, ultimately, what it supplies is used to develop products and/or services for an end customer.

Consequently, even if we think we have a good grasp of the immediate customer's requirements, we must also, as far as possible, focus on the end customer's expectations, as experience shows that these are not always well transcribed in the specifications of the intermediate customer or the buyer of capital goods or services.
