Is it necessary to have all the people to whom the information is to be communicated sign it?
Certain professions are bound by an absolute and general duty of secrecy: these include lawyers and chartered accountants. These people cannot be released from their obligation of secrecy, except in very limited circumstances (for example, to defend themselves or to denounce the abuse of minors). Violation of their obligation of secrecy is punishable by one year's imprisonment and a €15,000 fine (
article 226-13 du Code pénal
).
