In principle, there are two ways of separating air to produce nitrogen and oxygen: cryogenic processes and non-cryogenic (membrane) processes such as PSA / VPSA (gas purification: Pressure Swing Adsorption).
2.2 Air separation method for nitrogen extraction
Condensation: on condensation, molecular nitrogen becomes a colorless liquid. It is extremely unreactive, does not dissolve in water and is non-flammable.
