7.1 Choose your methods carefully
Use detailed methods to build up an order of magnitude. You'll spend a lot of time and energy on an estimate that won't necessarily be relevant, given the small number of assumptions involved.
7.2 Keep it simple
The best layouts are often the simplest. Don't try to go into too much detail, even if it means losing precision. A good estimate gives interpretable results based on clear and simple assumptions.
