Act in such a way that this position does not deprive the project players of their responsibility for detecting and dealing with risks and opportunities: the project risk manager is more a coach and facilitator than a manager of last resort. He or she is often involved in the company's project portfolio, as a member of the Project Office:
to make feedback available;
to bring a fresh perspective and a different viewpoint to the project team in the heat of the action (finding opportunities, weighing up opinions, provoking innovation, etc.);
