Equity and borrowed funds enable the company to finance its investments. In other words, it will be able to acquire all the assets (land, premises, equipment, etc.) it needs to run its business.

In the course of its business, a company produces goods or provides services for sale to its customers. The sales it generates in this way constitute its main source of revenue.
