Criminal liability in maintenance

The major law of July 15, 1975 on waste disposal and materials recovery, which laid down the basic rules for waste management, no longer exists. Its provisions have been brought together with many other texts (for example, the law of July 16, 1976 on classified installations) in the Environment Code.

Pollution likely to give rise to industrial liability can come from a variety of sources (air, soil, subsoil or water pollution), and the applicable texts are numerous, detailed and complex.

"No one is supposed to ignore the law". However, in many cases, a common-sense approach can help you avoid the criminal courts: it's enough to understand that it's forbidden to leave anything on the ground, to throw anything into the water...
