3. Remote manipulators
As the name suggests, a telemanipulator is a machine that enables remote manipulation by an operator. The first application is to keep the operator isolated from a dangerous environment (radioactivity, chemicals, heat or cold, etc.), while allowing him to manipulate objects in this environment.
