How to secure one's Supply Chain - Part 1 -Theoretical approach

By understanding and analyzing risks, we can identify the need to secure the supply chain. The development of a strategy is aimed first and foremost at risk reduction, i.e. risk prevention. This must be done both internally and externally, since the major risks are to be found in the extended Supply Chain (see § 1.1.2.1 ). Improving visibility across the chain, by restructuring the internal Supply Chain and collaborating with upstream and downstream partners, and securing upstream relationships are two key factors.
