For the sake of clarity, let's focus on those modules of the logistics information system that we feel are the most decisive for transport.

We won't be dealing here with the classic management and optimization modules internal to the transport business (e.g. route optimization modules, vehicle fleet operation optimization modules), but rather with the modules that enable transport to be integrated into logistics chains: document exchange systems (§ ), communication systems (§ ) and traceability systems (§ ).
