2. Product characterization
For a powdery solid to be pneumatically transportable, it must be able to be introduced into the pipe. This ability is described by its rheological characteristics.
The calculation of gas flow and pressure loss in the pipe is based on the aerodynamic characteristics of the solid.
Finally, certain physico-chemical characteristics of the product must be specified to enable assessment of the preservation of product integrity, the preservation of equipment or the protection of personnel
