However, it is in the organizational and social spheres that the changes initiated several years ago have had the greatest impact. We are witnessing a complete reshuffling of the cards, with the development and cohabitation of three complementary maintenance strategies within the same production system.

• Transferred maintenance

  As part of TPM projects, or when teams with extended responsibilities or autonomous production units (UAP) are set up, part of the maintenance tasks - generally considered to be level 1 or even level 2 as defined in standard FD X60-000 - are gradually taken over by production staff, who use the production facilities on a daily basis. As such, they are becoming involved in the maintenance of these installations, and thus co-responsible for their smooth operation. This "automaintenance" transforms...
