5. Design law for visual protection
Designs concern two-dimensional creations, and models concern three-dimensional creations.
These include the Intellectual Property Code, European texts and international treaties:
Intellectual Property Code, articles L511-1 et seq. – acquisition of rights and articles L521-1 et seq. – litigation;
Directive 98/71 of October 13, 1998, which harmonizes the rules on the legal protection of designs applicable in each of the Member States. This directive approximates the national laws of the Member States applicable to national designs;
