The design project is a set of processes that transforms the requirements for an object into detailed requirements for its realization (ISO 9000 § 3.4.8). It is thus articulated between :
input elements: requirements relating to the product to be designed, i.e. those expressed by the customer or his representative, those derived from the designers' experience, those resulting from constraints linked to the downstream process (particularly production), legal regulations, etc;
