7. Updating the approach in line with changes in context and/or challenges
Any event influencing or reflecting your organization's ability to satisfy your customers (e.g. winning or losing a market, launching a new product or service, introducing a new technology, etc.) is a source of information or change factors which may affect your previous assessments.
Corrective action and continuous improvement are also, in principle, likely to help your assessment of risks and opportunities to evolve, a priori favorably.
It is essential to repeat the process on a regular basis, to take into account possible changes in internal and external factors, as well as changes in the context. An annual review is recommended.
It is advisable to repeat the whole process every three years, to check that new factors not previously taken into account have not appeared in the meantime.
