You need to ensure that you have the necessary funds for your research activities. The main items to establish are :
staff salaries ;
subcontracting costs ;
equipment costs (test benches, etc.) ;
consumables (products, energy, etc.) ;
the cost of documentation ;
specialized software (e.g. data processing) ;
intellectual property costs ;
other operating costs: e.g. participation in seminars.
To evaluate these elements, you will set up a reporting system that will constitute a very useful historical database when it comes to the financial dimensioning of your future programs.
