Twitter is a monitoring tool, before being a search tool. Nevertheless, an occasional search can help you identify recent articles on a given topic, or find out what's being said about a product, brand or company.
While numerous tools have been developed for querying Twitter, the site's official search engine remains one of the most powerful, in terms of the search possibilities it offers.
The engine is accessible to both registered and non-registered Twitter users. You can search via the form on the home page, or via an advanced search grid at twitter.com/search-advanced. Both methods offer relatively sophisticated functionalities, enabling you to :
identify tweets containing a given hashtag (e.g. #pharma);
identify tweets made by a person (from: accounttitle),...
