An anti-fraud approach needs to be considered in its entirety. To this end, it is important to be familiar with the eight stages of the process.

The first step is to become aware of the risk, and the second is to accept the reality of that risk.

Fraud is an operational risk that needs to be identified.

Then you have to prevent and react. The balance between the two is essential.

What's more, we need to be equally vigilant about external fraud and internal fraud. There are few, if any, boundaries between the two. Statistics show that 45% of identified cases of fraud in France, and 60% worldwide, involve internal fraud.
