This is an important step, because it's the one that will enable us to make the most of an incremental innovation.

In this stage, you check the technical and functional coherence of your innovation with the surrounding system.

For example:

• With the Stop&Start function, the vehicle's engine cuts out when you're at a standstill: remember to eliminate any extraneous noises that might make the innovation misleading.

• You're upgrading a piece of radiation protection equipment, but the operator's dosimeter is no longer accurate enough to measure the real gain, and so on.
