7. Mistakes to avoid
Although it may seem superfluous, don't hesitate to draw up bibliographic watch specifications when setting up bibliographic alerts for yourself. It will enable you, for example, to find your alerts easily for updates, or to set them up in a newly acquired database, or to pass on this information if necessary. Similarly, if your activity is to be of use to others (backup in case of absence, for example), or has a regulatory role, you'll be able to trace what you've done.
