Group presentation
The groups : one of the key mechanisms for innovation

It's long been known that a group of individuals, gathered together by chance or in an unorganized way, does not make a group. For this to be the case, the population must possess at least the following characteristics:

• purpose to indicate that the members of a group are consciously united around a shared goal;

• interactions to describe the fact that the members of a group have developed a certain level of cohesion among themselves through reciprocal exchanges and influences;

• existence to express that group members clearly distinguish, possibly for various reasons, their interdependence and indeed what is internal to the group and what is not....
