fablabs
A place open to the public (or to a specific audience, in the case of corporate fablabs) where all kinds of tools are made available, in particular computer-controlled machine tools, for the design and production of innovative projects (especially objects) (source: wikipedia).
hackathon
An event that brings together developers, designers, entrepreneurs... and in some cases teams from major corporations, to collaboratively develop innovative projects over just a few days.
lean start-up
A specific approach to starting up a start-up, based on an iterative process. The concept was first developed in 2008 by Eric Ries, based on Lean thinking in Silicon Valley high-tech companies ( source : wikipedia ).
