The Altshuller matrix is a statistical synthesis of 400,000 patents, from which the 40,000 most inventive (10%) have been extracted. After this initial quick sort, the remaining patents were analyzed in greater detail along two axes:

• the relationship between the problem posed before the patent (prior art) presents an opposition between two technical parameters that can be reduced to 39 generic parameters (Tool 1 );
