Most of the data visualization solutions mentioned above offer templates into which users can integrate their own data. But it's important to distinguish between these different models, which are designed for different purposes:

• Bar charts (fixed or animated) are used to compare different variables.

• Curve graphs can be used to track a value over time (e.g. a time series).

• The scatterplot shows interactions and correlations between several variables.

• The famous pie chart shows the distribution of an item across several categories.
