The access network is connected to a metropolitan area network (MAN) routing device (an aggregation switch), which is itself connected to the core network (Figure 4 ). Residential customers are connected to a point-to-multipoint system, while business customers are connected via point-to-point links. Mobile network antennas are also connected via point-to-point links.
