1. Conceptual model
To describe the various elements of the intelligent network, the ITU-T (International Telecommunications Union -Telecommunications Sector) has introduced a conceptual model to serve as a framework for specifying and describing this architecture.

describes the four planes of the intelligent network conceptual model (INCM). Each of these planes corresponds to a different abstraction of the network. This model should not be considered as an architecture in itself. It is a conceptual reference guide for designers.
