5. Conclusion
In this article, we have presented a state of the art of the various localization and control interfaces available. We have looked at the different technologies used to realize sensors whose objective is to obtain a position and/or orientation of the object being tracked, and we have illustrated them, where possible, in a virtual reality application context. We have discussed the advantages and disadvantages of these sensors, and also offered an overview of solutions requiring the object to be tracked to be equipped, and those known as "markerless". With this article, the reader should understand that the perfect solution doesn't exist, and that it needs to be adapted to suit the application.
