An introduction to computer architecture

In this article, we begin with a brief look at the history of computing machines. Since the advent of microelectronic circuits, computer technology has made incredible progress, with rates of advancement unmatched by any other technology developed by human activity. We have highlighted the various elements that have enabled this spectacular evolution. Next, we introduce the basic concepts of computer architecture.
