5. Design methodologies and models
In the previous paragraphs, we reviewed the hardware and software components used. We now present some general information on the design methods used to go from the specification of the system to be built to its final implementation, including hardware and software components. Of course, there is no general method applicable to every embedded system, but there are specificities linked to the more or less complex nature of the system and the constraints it must respect, particularly for critical applications (real-time) and for operating safety.
