7. Stage 4: implementation (coding, unit testing, integration testing)

7.1 Process

This stage concerns the production (coding – ) of the software system as imagined by the designers. There are three distinct parts to this process:

  • program coding ;

  • unit tests, component (program) by component ;

  • software system integration tests.

Figure 10 shows the main activities in this design process.
