7. Current applications: benefits, limitations and future prospects
These cold materials have several relevant characteristics such as:
immediate or a few hours' consolidation at room temperature, enabling them to be used as a grout or binder; mechanical properties are obtained from day one; ease of processing also makes them suitable for additive manufacturing;
adhesion to any substrate;
resistance to severe freeze-thaw and high-temperature conditions.
What's more, from an environmental point of view, their recyclability in new formulations is possible minimizing CO
2
