Agro-resource

According to ADEME (Agence de l'environnement et de la maîtrise de l'énergie), agro-resources are all raw materials derived from agriculture, whatever their intended use.

More precisely, and without being restrictive, the term "agro-resource" is often used today to designate plant-based, and therefore renewable, raw materials intended for non-food uses.

Agro-residue

By-products and/or residues from the agricultural, agri-food or forestry sectors.

Biosourced

Biobased raw materials are raw materials derived from animal or plant biomass. The term biosourced is often used in contrast to fossil.

Note that a "biobased" product does not mean that it is 100% derived from biomass. It's common to have products that mix several origins (fossil, mineral, vegetable or animal), in order to benefit from the advantages of each constituent.
