3. Definition of control procedures
The methods department defines part inspection procedures according to the specifications supplied by the customer. Control ranges are drawn up to specify the nature of the controls, the methodology for their implementation, their frequency, and the tools to be used, or created if necessary.
3.1 Control program
The aim of an inspection program is to summarize all the elements governing the inspection of parts and processes, as a basis for implementing a "quality and continuous improvement" policy within foundries. These programs can either be drawn up in-house (plant, process, tooling controls, etc.), or in consultation with the customer (part controls and associated actions, etc.).
