In addition to the intrinsic properties of the alloys formed by this casting process, its performance in aeronautical manufacturing is largely dependent on :

• the formulas used to create shell moulds and ceramic cores;

• the considerable progress made in recent years in controlling the cooling of alloys after casting, which has a direct impact on the structure of the solidified alloy and, consequently, on its final mechanical and physical properties.
