Cold pilger rolling is therefore a tube rolling process in which thickness and inside diameter are reduced simultaneously, in relative proportions freely chosen by the user, via a possibly non-proportional path: we can thus choose to further reduce diameter first, then thickness, or vice versa, or any combination deemed useful for the final properties of the product.
