5. Conclusion
The shaping of zinc and its alloys is very similar to the shaping of other more common metals, such as steels and aluminum and copper alloys: the various processes and installations used for the first and second transformation stages are often the same, or at least similar.
In the case of zinc, there is a strong preponderance of hot and warm rolling, mainly of flat products for building applications.
The main characteristic of products after shaping is the presence of strong anisotropy in mechanical properties (due to the hexagonal crystalline structure), combined with a strong influence of temperature and deformation rate.
