INTRODUCTION
Wire rod is a product with a generally circular cross-section and a diameter ranging from 5 to 32 mm, usually delivered in coils. Behind this definition lies an impressive variety of finished products, from supermarket carts, wire mesh, staples, windscreen wiper arms, tables, screens and chains to screws, bolts, pistons, axles, springs, concrete reinforcement, engineering structures and pneumatics!
