The main characteristics of the coatings to be followed are controlled according to the standards cited in the documentation. .

• Aspect

  Uniform, relatively smooth, more or less shiny metallic gray coating. The appearance of darker matte areas corresponds to Fe-Zn alloy crystals emerging.

  Surface crystallization (zinc flowers) can be variable.

• Zinc mass deposited

  Roughly speaking, zinc thickness (µm) is equal to the coating mass deposited (g/m²) divided by 7. Coating thickness ranges depend on the process (continuous or hardened), the product to be coated and the type of use (table 5).
