Operation and Use of Co-kneaders

As previously mentioned, the co-mixer, like the twin-screw extruders, has a modular structure, made up of elements placed one after the other on a splined shaft. The sheaths are lined and made up of two half-shells. They can be easily opened to gain access to the screw and change the liners. The liners are perforated to enable them to be fixed to the sleeve (via "flat" mixing fingers) and to allow installation of the mixing fingers that will promote mixing. They can easily be replaced when they become worn, or when you wish to add or remove a restriction ring (see § 2.1.3 ).
