6. Defects observed during installation. Solutions
As we've seen, the gas-assisted injection molding process has many advantages, but also disadvantages which can have dramatic consequences for the part and therefore for the processor. Indeed, committing to produce a part using this process, and then having to offer the customer an alternative solution because technical problems have not been solved, can be commercially penalizing for the future.
A non-exhaustive list of faults that can be observed when using this process, with a suggested solution or remedy, is given in this paragraph.
