Polymer crosslinking under ionizing radiation concerns thermoplastics as well as elastomers and thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs). Table
lists common polymers that can be cross-linked under ionizing radiation. Some can be cross-linked as they are, while others can only be cross-linked in the presence of a co-cross-linking agent (e.g. polyamides), or if their chemical structure has been slightly modified (e.g. with more unsaturation).
