Having wandered through the maze of standardization in the world of plastics and composites, penetrated the workings of the national and international standards bodies and discovered the rules governing each of them, the reader can find in figure 2 a synoptic set which will guide him in his eventual research. In tabular form, it shows the relationships between the various committees that set standards for plastics around the world.

The table at 5 shows the correlation between French, European and worldwide commissions.
